Let’s venture off to Pennsylvania to see the Philadelphia Flower Show! The PHS Philadelphia Flower Show is the nation's largest and longest-running horticultural event and features stunning displays by the world’s premier floral and landscape designers. Started in 1829 by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, the show introduces diverse and sustainable plant varieties and garden and design concepts. The 2020 theme is Riviera Holiday and the exotic Mediterranean gardens will make you fall in love with gardening all over again! Lunch will be on your own so you can either head to the Grand Hall to visit the food court or head to the Reading Terminal Market located directly across the street from the Flower Show. The Market has been a staple of Philadelphia foods and culture since 1893! Just make sure you get your hand stamped for re-entry before you leave the show for lunch! We’ll be getting back on the bus at around 4:30 p.m. to head back to the library and everyone will be instructed on where to meet.
Note: We are co-hosting this trip with Copiague Library so we’ll only have 27 seats available! Sign up as soon as possible!
Registration for Amityville Public Library cardholders will begin on Monday, December 23rd at 9 a.m. and registration for non-Amityville Public Library cardholders will begin on Thursday, January 2nd at 9 a.m.
