To send a fax, visit the Circulation Desk—our staff will be happy to assist. Faxes are $1 per page, payable by cash or credit card. For credit card payments or double-sided faxes, use the black copy machine next to the scanning station.

Can’t find what you’re looking for? Our Reference Desk can help request it from another library. You can also request items yourself through our catalog from Suffolk County or as an “INN-Reach” hold from Nassau County.

Museum passes can only be checked out and reserved by an Adult Amityville Public Library patron whose card is in good standing. Please ensure your Library card is up to date and free of fines so that you can check out the pass you have reserved. There is a limit of 1 pass per family.
The library has two notaries on staff; please call ahead for availability. Paperwork must be completed beforehand, and documents must be signed in the presence of the notary. Effective 1/1/26 - The first two documents are free; each additional document is $2. Cash only.
Patrons have access to the Library's 14 public computers (12 Adult Reference computers and 2 Children's Department computers). The computers include: Internet access, Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and databases subscribed to from the Library.
Need to scan documents? Our Scan to Email/USB station is conveniently located on the main floor, directly across from the adult public computers. Scan documents to your email or save them to a USB drive—scanning is free.
Our social worker interns are available from September through May. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are recommended. Please contact the library for availability.
Stay connected! Our free library Wi-Fi is available to all patrons. Passwords are posted around the library, or just ask the Reference Desk for help.
