Closing Due to Snow - Program Registration Date Changed

Out of an abundance of caution, the Library will be closed Tuesday, February 24th, to ensure there is sufficient time to allow for safe conditions for staff and patrons. We will resume normal hours of operation on Wednesday, February 25th. Stay safe and warm!

Note: Our registration day for adult programs will now be on Thursday, February 26th for all Amityville Public Library cardholders and Friday, February 27th for all non-Amityville residents.

  • Registration is required for this event.
  • Registration will close on April 22, 2026 @ 1:00pm.
  • A library card is required to register for this event.
  • This event is for registrants grade 6th Grade to 12th Grade.

Event Details

Celebrate Earth day! Show us receipts of you recycling cans/bottles (100 cans/1 hour) OR Show us how you repurposed something and made it “new” again and you will get one hour of community service for this program.  Send us your pictures of your receipt or repurposed item to ya@amityvillepubliclibrary.org and we will send your community service certificate- we ask that you please do not use a school e-mail address.
