The Addition & Alterations project has begun, construction fencing has been installed in the parking lot and around the building, and a temporary entrance will be constructed on the West side of the building of Oak & John Streets for access into the building. There will also be a trailer in the parking lot to serve as an express drop-off/pick-up location for library materials. Please let a staff member know if you want to pick up an item at the trailer or inside the building. The hours of operation for the trailer will be 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Parking in the Library/Village lot may be limited at certain times, especially with he construction fencing, so if you're just visiting to pick up or drop off, please park outside of the trailer. As always, no fines or late fees will be assessed; only missing or damaged items will be charged.
During the renovation process, we will do our very best to make sure your experience at the Amityville Public Library is consistent with the service you expect. Your patience and understanding will be greatly appreciated during this time.
