  • If a program is being offered as both virtual and in-person (hybrid), please indicate which option you'd prefer in your email since there are limits to our in-person programs.

  • Please also send a separate email for each program you’d like to attend. You can also register by calling the library at 631-264-0567 or on our website https://www.amityvillepubliclibrary.org/adult-programs.

  • Masks are strongly recommended at all in-person programs.

  • Due to the Covid pandemic that is still ongoing, we may have to make an in-person program virtual at the last minute. Registrants will be notified if that occurs.

Qigong (pronounced chi kung) is an ancient Chinese form of exercise that is similar to tai chi. You will be introduced to the 18 Lohan Hands — a fluid, dance-like moving meditation handed down from the Shaolin Temple. Qigong helps reduce stress and anxiety, increases strength and flexibility and lifts your spirit!  Please have a mat and water with you.
