Closing Due to Snow - Program Registration Date Changed

Out of an abundance of caution, the Library will be closed Tuesday, February 24th, to ensure there is sufficient time to allow for safe conditions for staff and patrons. We will resume normal hours of operation on Wednesday, February 25th. Stay safe and warm!

Note: Our registration day for adult programs will now be on Thursday, February 26th for all Amityville Public Library cardholders and Friday, February 27th for all non-Amityville residents.

Community Service

Hooked on Books

We will not accept reviews on books that were assigned for school and we will limit multiple reviews on the same book.  Please note that books must be a young adult title and published within the past 3 years.  2 hours of community service will be given for each review and you can submit up to 3 reviews a year.

Have you donated items to a local charity. Let us know about your donation and send us a copy of your receipt and you can earn one hour of community service.

Adopt a Pet

Have you adopted a pet from an animal shelter or rescue league and given them a new home? Tell us your story and why adopting an animal was so important to you. Fill out the form and send us a picture of your pet and one hour of community service will be given.
