September is Library Card Sign-Up Month.  It’s a time when the Amityville Public Library endeavors to remind our community that having a library card is a really good thing!  Possessing a library card opens up your world to all of our free and plentiful resources, and a myriad of programs and activities too!

For 2 hours of community service credits, create a persuasive flyer or sign highlighting a great reason to apply for a library card.  Send all completed projects to YA@amityville publiclibrary.org with “Library Card” in the subject and your name & grade in the body of the email.

The Amityville Public Library is participating in “The Great Give Back”, a day when teens of Long Island can engage in meaningful, service-oriented experiences.

This year we encourage our teens to help us beautify our library by volunteering for our Fall Planting Event. Plant spring bulbs this fall in our library’s Memorial Garden for a burst of beautiful color in early spring! Sign up for one of our sessions to earn 2 hours of community service credits.
